PAGASA Says Northeast Monsoon to Affect PH Weather
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the northeast5 monsoon will bring rains over some parts of the country.
On Saturday (February 25, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The northeast monsoon and localized thunderstorms will affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that the northeast monsoon will be affecting Luzon. Amihan will bring cloudy skies with rains over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Aurora.
The monsoon will bring partly cloudy to at times cloudy skies with light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.
“Patuloy na umiiral ang northeast monsoon o amihan dito sa bahagi ng Luzon kung saan ngayong araw, dala pa rin nito ang maulap na kalangitan at pag-ulan sa ilang bahagi yan ng northern Luzon,” Pagasa weather specialist Grace Castañeda said.
The localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy weather condition with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao.
The weather agency has also advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over the seaboards of Luzon and the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao will be moderate to rough. The remaining parts of the archipelago will be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
