On Wednesday (February 22, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather updates in the country. The northeast monsoon will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA weather specialist Patrick Del Mundo reported that the low-pressure area that affected parts of the country over the past few days dissipated on Tuesday (February 21).

“Tuluyan na nag dissipate itong LPA sa may silangan ng Luzon at ito ay dumikit dito sa may shear line kung saan pumapasok ang hanging amihan or yung malamig o tuyong hanging na siyang dahilan kung bakit natunaw itong LPA,” he said.

Del Mundo reported that there is no LPA inside and outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility. No tropical cyclone is expected to form over the weekend but the northeast monsoon will continue to bring scattered rains over parts of the country.

Amihan will bring cloudy weather condition with rains over Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, and Ifugao.
