Another Filipino proved that he was not blinded by any wealth by returning the lost Php 1m check. He was a jeepney driver. The check was in a pouch.
This is based on the “24 Oras” in GMA News.
This man is Tomy Lasoy. According to him, he just went on a comfort room in a gasoline station then he found a check amounting to Php 1m. The owner of the said check was identified because of the postal ID inside the pouch. The owner is Emiliana Mariano Almoza.
She got the check after she sold a house and lot.
According to the relatives of the check owner, she was been a victim of the “Budol Budol Gang” that caused the pouch to be lost.
When the said jeepney driver found it, he the turned it over to the police. The authorities already did some ways to finally return the said lost check to the owner.

This video proved to people that Filipinos really have that instinct to return the things that are not theirs.
This jeepney driver have proven that poverty is not the reason to do bad things. He was not hesitant to return the lost check even though it could really be a good help for him. A good help to stop poverty that he was experiencing.
Indeed, as of this moment, we can really say that there are still those people who choose to do what is right.
