Bela Padilla talked about moving on
Actress-director Bela Padilla shared that it is easier for her to move on from a breakup than a missed opportunity for her career.
Bela talked about moving on in her directorial debut 366. She also wrote the script of the movie but initially, she intended to feature actress Liza Soberano as the lead star but schedule conflict did not allow this to happen.
Talking about this movie, based on the article in PEP, Bela said that the lead character is far different from what she is in real life because moving on from a breakup did not take her 365 or 366 days.
“Actually, parang nakakatawa, dalawa lang naman po ang naging ex-boyfriends ko at pareho akong naka-move on nang medyo mabilis,” the actress shared. Reportedly, the actress’s past boyfriends were actor Jason Abalos and film producer Neil Are.
She said that this is maybe because she knows what she has brought in the relationship and she knows she did her best. Bela jokingly quoted the line in the song Just Once, “And I know that I did my best, but my best wasn’t good enough.” She added that when the breakup happened, they knew that the relationship was already over.
Then, Bela Padilla admitted that missing an opportunity for her career is much hurtful for her than breakup.
“Mas nahihirapan akong mag-move on sa missed opportunity. Minsan nga, parang mas hirap pa sa akin na mag-move on na alam kong project ko pala dapat iyon, pero hindi ako yung natuloy dahil may conflict ako sa schedule or something,” the actress revealed.
On the other hand, she admitted that she also had her simpleton moments after breakup. Bela said that there were times she done crazy things that she was ashamed of and her leading man JC Santos was able to witness some of those moments. This is because Bela Padilla has done several movies already with the actor.
