Bela is more than just an actress. She already wrote several screenplays in the past such as 10,000 Hours (2013), Camp Sawi (2016), Last Night (2017), and Luck at First Sight (2017).
Now, she has added another profession under her name and it is “director’. Based on the article in The Philippine Star, Bela shared that her directorial debut is already finished.
The multi-talented celebrity is one of the contest’s judges in the 6th Nespresso Talents 2021 film competition and during the recent virtual press conference, she shared a few details about her new film.
She wrote that she wrote the script before the COVID-19 pandemic. “It’s the story of people who were and weren’t given the chance to have an extra day to stop, to live, to cry, to laugh, to forget and to love. We follow their journeys, their joy and their grief,” Bela Padilla shared.
She said that she had no idea what would be the situation of the world by now. The actress, just like everyone else, did not expect the changes that suddenly happened. Bela explained how the movie can be related to what is happening now and the life situation of many people.
This film is also awakening for her personally. She is now realizing the importance of every time spent with people that matter in one’s life.
“Now, having gone through a global pandemic and shooting amidst it, every day has become so important. Time spent with people has become essential. ‘366’ feels like a wake-up call to me now, to really live well and to make everyday a little more than what it normally should have been!” the actress said.
