City Hall Employee Caught with Illegal Drugs in Cebu Fell in Jail
Police authorities arrested an alleged employee of Cebu City Hall after he was caught selling illegal drugs called ‘shabu’.
According to the report, a city hall employee was jailed after being found peddling shabu during the investigation. Bryan Manriquez, a 22-year-old employee of the Cebu City Market Administration and a resident of Sanciangko, Barangay Pahina San Nicolas in the city, was detained.

According to the Waterfront Police Station, a buy-bust operation was conducted against the suspect at Lapu Lapu, Barangay San Roque, about 9:15 p.m. Manriquez was arrested when one of the police officers feigned to buy shabu against the suspect.
The suspect was caught with 21 sachets of shabu worth P78, 880.00 and was given over to the PNP Crime Laboratory. The suspect, according to police, is on a list of drug personalities and is now facing allegations of unlawful narcotics possession.
Meanwhile, two drug suspects on motorcycles were apprehended Sunday in Tuy town, Batangas province, after yielding shabu (crystal meth) following a brief pursuit with police manning a Commission on Elections (Comelec) checkpoint. According to the Batangas police, the suspects ignored the Comelec checkpoint in Barangay Luntal while driving around 10:50 p.m.
The two motorcyclists who failed to present their driver’s licenses were pursued and trapped by the police. During a regular frisking, officers discovered two sachets of shabu in the suspects’ pockets and a sling pouch.
