2 Alleged Members of “Ipit Gang” Arrested After Robbery Attempt

Police authorities arrested two (2) alleged members of the “Ipit Gang” after a robbery attempt and pretending to be cops.

Two weapons were seized from two males suspected of being involved in an alleged embezzlement incident in Pasay City. The suspects were apprehended on Thursday and were identified as alias Toto, 34, and alias Kuya, 36.

This comes after they were sued by a guy who said he was kidnapped by two men on Wednesday at the EDSA-Roxas Boulevard intersection. According to Pasay City police commander Col. Cesar Paday-os, the two also pretended to be cops when genuine cops approached but did not present identification.

A.22 caliber revolver and a fake gun, as well as two handcuffs, were purportedly seized. The police assume that the two commuters’ victims are members of the “ipit gang,” so they pose as cops.

However, the suspects claim that the firearms seized were not theirs. They went on to state that they were assets of a Pasay precinct and that they even assisted the victim in catching the real guy who kidnapped him, but that he fled.

The two guys, according to Paday-os, are not on their roster of force multipliers. They are accused of breaking the election firearms prohibition and usurping power.

Other suspected victims of the two males are being urged to contact police. They urged people to be more vigilant on the streets and to watch their valuables and baggage, especially as the number of people outdoors continues to rise under Alert Level 2.
