AMANDA OBDAM – Meet Miss Universe Thailand 2020 Amanda Obdam and discover some details about her journey and personal life.
Formerly Siam and officially the Kingdom of Thailand now is where Amanda Obdam have come from. She is from the south of Thailand, in Phuket, and she’s representing her country in this year’s Miss Universe pageant.

She grew up to be an island girl and got a degree in business administration at the University of Toronto. She is Thai-Canadian and co-founded the Batika Studio, an organization that recognizes and honors batik art as something sustaining. She does volunteer work that started way back in 2004 after they got severely hit by a Tsunami leaving them miserable and devastated.
Currently, she teaches English in Phuket Has Been Good To Us Foundation to children who suffered the aftermath of the tsunami. Apart from that, she’s also an advocate of mental health which made her conduct the “Have You Listened” campaign intended to listen and understand the people.
One fun fact about her, she’s a diver where her interest to do this started when she was just 14 years old and got her open water certificate in 2006. The first pageant she joined is Miss Noppamas of Phuket which happened when she was just 10 years old. Also, she joined Miss Thailand World 2015 and landed a spot in the Top 10.
The following year, she competed in Miss Grand Phuket 2016 that made her enter the Miss Grand Thailand 2016. She’s one of the finalists in the pageant.
Amanda is already 27 years old born on June 17, 1993. Recently, she went viral after giving the audience a powerful performance during the Miss Universe national pageant competition. She nailed her Siamese Fighting Fish-inspired outfit. The Siamese Fighting Fish Thailand’s national aquatic animal.
