Liza Soberano gets real about this aspect of her finances
Actress Liza Soberano revealed that she sacrificed a huge amount of money to pursue her Hollywood dream.
Liza started young in the entertainment industry. From being a teen star, she became one of the brightest stars of her generation with her successful loveteam partnership with actor Enrique Gil, who also became her boyfriend in real life.
When their loveteam partnership ended, it was later on revealed that they also broke up. Liza opted to pursue a career in Hollywood, which garnered criticism from some other people, as she left her former management – Star Magic and Ogie Diaz – and transferred to the talent management company of James Reid.

Years have passed and Liza has done some projects in Hollywood, such as the movie Lisa Frankenstein. She also had several endorsement projects and appearances at international events.
In a recent interview on Edward Barber’s YouTube channel, Liza admitted that she had to make some sacrifices when she moved to Hollywood, based on the article in Abante.
“Now, I think that I moved to LA obviously, money is the biggest thing that I’ve sacrificed because I could be here in the Philippines doing the same thing I’ve been doing since I was 12, making lots of money,” she revealed.
The actress also shared that she earned a lot from various endorsements, and this was where her money mostly came from, not the movies or TV shows. “I could still be easily just doing that and still making the same amount of money that I used to, but now I don’t. That’s what I sacrificed to be living in LA,” Liza added.
Another thing that she had to sacrifice was the comfortable life she had in the Philippines. Now that she is living in LA, she had to go through all the “new artists things.” The actress also admitted that she is hurt when people would tell her that she is already “laos” or a has-been, and that she is just doing “small gigs” in the US.

Liza stressed that she is doing those small gigs in LA to earn a living. “When I first moved to LA, it really hurt me when people would be like, ‘Oh, laos na siya. We don’t see her anywhere,’ ‘Oh, laos na siya. She’s like, only doing this like, small little influencers gigs.’“
She stressed that she is not making as much as she did before, and that majority of her money comes from Asia, but she is currently living in the US, which meant that the conversion is not favorable to her.
With this, she had to little gigs and because this is how she pays her bill. Liza Soberano said that this is the price she should pay in order to fulfill her dream, adding that she had to pay for her acting classes and vocal lessons, and they are not cheap.
