Binangonan Police Chief Sack from Position Over Negligence on Extortion Activities
Binangonan police station chief relieved from position due to his alleged negligence over extortion activities by his subordinates.
The Philippine National Police (PNP) announced that the Binangonan Police Chief Lieutenant Colonel Ferdinand Ancheta has been sacked from his position due to negligence after his personnel were reportedly involved in extortion activities.
PNP chief Police General Debold Sinas recently directed Calabarzon director Police Brigadier General Filipe Natividad to investigate Ancheta due to the extortion activities complaint.
“Iyong chief of police doon sa Binangonan, nag-report iyong regional director natin si [Brig.] Gen. Felipe Natividad, pinag-relieve din niya pending investigation for negligence kasi nangyari po iyon sa loob ng istasyon nila,” Sinas told reporters at PNP-Anti-Kidnapping Group (AKG) Headquarters in Quezon City.
