Cops Arrest Man in Pasay City After Selling Fake Travel Documents
The cops arrest a 25-year-old man after selling fake travel authority documents in an entrapment operation in Pasay City.
Earlier this week, Pasay City Police conducted an entrapment operation along a service road in Roxam Boulevard to arrest the male suspect for selling counterfeit authority documents for those who were traveling to provinces.
The intelligence section of Pasay City Police identified the suspect as alias Abner, a resident of Antipolo. A complainant reported Abner’s illegal activities to the authorities, according to Pasay City Police chief Col. Ericson Dilag.
Dilag said that one of the police officers pretend as a customer who will purchase a travel authority heading to Nueva Ecija worth P4,500 to arrest the suspect. The authorities were able to arrest the suspect.
The police officers recovered 5 blank medical certificate and a travel authority with the signature of Antipolo City Police Lt. Col. Jose Joey Arandia. However, Arandia clarified that the document is fake.
The suspect is now facing charges of falsification and use of falsified documents. He also refused to give a statement.

The Joint Task Force COVID Shield reported that around 50 individuals who used fake travel authority, medical clearance certificate, ID card, and pass of Inter-Agency Task Force.
