Quezon City Police to Cooperate with Hospital Over Doctor Hostage Incident
Quezon City Police District (QCPD) will cooperate with the hospital management after the hostage-taking incident involving a doctor.
The QCPD plans to cooperate with East Avenue Medical center following a hostage taking incident held by a patient which one doctor of the said hospital got involved as one of the hostage on Wednesday.
According to QCPD Director of Police Brigadier General Ronnie Montejo, although the incident may be considered an isolated case, they are still contacting the hospital management to determine what assistance they can provide to ensure the safety of frontliners and patients.

Based on the report, they also placed help desks near city hospitals. Dr. Willie Saludares is the head of the emergency rm of the trauma dept of East Avenue Medical Center, said this is an “isolated case”.
The hospital also enforced strict security so patients had nothing to worry about. Hilarion Achondo has since been charged with grave coercion, grave threat and alarm and scandal.
Based on the previous article, the security guard named Hilarioun Achondo, 51, was rushed to the hospital after receiving injuries due to a motorcycle accident. However, Achondo suddenly grabbed a syringe and pointed it to Dr. Russel Carandang.
