Filipina Singer Wows All Four Coaches on The Voice Australia
JERAMIE SANICO – The Filipino singer impressed audiences after earning a four-chair turn during her blind audition on The Voice Australia on August 17, 2026.
All four coaches—Melanie C, Ronan Keating, Richard Marx, and Kate Miller-Heidke—turned their chairs after hearing her perform Celine Dion’s Because You Loved Me. Jeramie dedicated the song to her father, who traveled from the Philippines to Australia to support her. Her husband and two children were also at the audition.
Jeramie began the performance calmly before delivering powerful vocals during the chorus. Her performance impressed the coaches, giving her the chance to choose which coach would guide her in the competition. She ultimately selected award-winning singer-songwriter Richard Marx.
After her performance, Jeramie shared that she was nervous because she had not performed on television or joined a major singing competition for years. Since moving to Australia, she mainly sang at church and at home with her family.
She said she knew moving to Australia meant starting over with her singing career, but she never expected the opportunity to reach The Voice Australia. Coming from a humble background in the Philippines, she described reaching the international stage as the fulfillment of a long-time dream.
However, Jeramie said winning is not her only goal. She hopes to use the competition to share her faith and acknowledge God as an important part of her journey.
Before appearing on The Voice Australia, Jeramie had already competed in the first season of Tawag ng Tanghalan on ABS-CBN’s It’s Showtime. She became one of the early semifinalists but later withdrew from the competition because of personal commitments.
Her latest achievement marks an important comeback in her singing career. After years away from major competitions, Jeramie is once again performing on a large stage, this time representing Filipino talent in Australia.
Her four-chair turn has also drawn attention from Filipino viewers online, who celebrated her performance and her journey from the Philippines to the international stage.
