ABS-CBN actress Francine Diaz has this to say when asked about the “maldita” blind items consistently linked to her.
For several months, “maldita” blind items have circulated, and most of them have been linked to actress Francine Diaz. The controversy involves blind items describing a young actress as having an attitude problem. Some posts portrayed the unnamed actress as difficult or “maldita” when working with other people.
Recently, the actress finally addressed the issue and said that she was “very, very confused” about the situation.
“Siguro hanggang ngayon ‘yun pa rin kasi lagi akong nami-misinterpret for being quiet, na maldita, na hindi ako nakiki-mingle, especially when I’m exhausted from siguro the pressure and doing too much work,” she said.
Despite the chatter, Francine appears to be taking the issue calmly. She is still navigating her way in the industry and still trying to find her footing.
Francine said she is still learning how to strike a balance between being naturally quiet and showing a more playful and outgoing side. She explained that she is trying to find the right approach and the “silver lining” between the two personalities.
“Ayoko rin naman na parang maiilang sila when kasama nila ako kasi ganyan din ‘yung nafi-feel ko. So, I think mas ganon. Kasi ayoko rin naman na ma-misinterpret nila ako and at the same time, I want to be present naman with everyone na I’m surrounded with,” she added, expressing that she is aware of the blind items about her.
The actress pointed out that people can have something to say whether she chooses to stay quiet or becomes more expressive. She furthered that she is gradually learning not to let other people’s opinions affect her too much. She reminds herself that she cannot always control how others interpret her actions or personality.
