In government service, employees are required to maintain active membership in certain state-run institutions. These entities include the Pag-IBIG Fund. The same rule applies to most private sector workers as most private employers ensure their staff are enrolled. This mandate is usually meant to broaden the financial resources available to employees.

How does a Pag-IBIG membership expand the resources of its members? The members gain access to several loan programs. Aside from the very popular Pag-IBIG Housing Loan, there is also the Pag-IBIG Calamity Loan offer as well as the Pag-IBIG Multi-purpose Loan.
Aside from the loan offers of the Pag-IBIG Fund, the state-run agency also made sure of finding a way to help its members grow their savings. They launched the Pag-IBIG MP2 Savings.

The MP2 Savings is a five-year program that offers higher dividend rates compared to regular savings. Each Pag-IBIG MP2 Savings Table can attest to it. Before checking on how much you money may grow, here’s who can qualify to save under this facility:

- Full withdrawal after the five-year maturity period, with dividends compounded annually
- Annual payout credited directly to a savings or checking account in any Pag-IBIG-accredited bank
- For members without a Philippine bank account, such as overseas members, annual dividend payouts will be released via check
