TAAL ERUPTION – The Department of Health (DOH) released a reminder to the public regarding the health effects of ashfall and how to cope with this.
On Sunday afternoon, the Taal Volcano erupted and the ashfall reached nearby provinces in Luzon. In line with this, the health department of the government issued a reminder.
Based on the article from The Philippine Star, DOH stated that ashfall, which may contain powder-size to sand-size particles, might cause health hazards. Furthermore, people who have suffered from bronchitis, emphysema or asthma should avoid not be exposed to these particles.
