A recent issue surfaced involving Matteo Guidicelli
Actor-host Matteo Guidicelli was defended by Kapuso veteran broadcaster Susan Enriquez against an accusation that he was a headache for the people on the morning show, Unang Hirit.
Matteo entered the entertainment industry through ABS-CBN’s shows. Aside from acting projects, he had some hosting stints.
In 2023, he signed a contract with GMA Public Affairs and became part of Unang Hirit. This made his fans excited as it showcased a different side of him.
However, as his contract with the Kapuso network ended, his next career move was transferring to Bilyonaryo News Channel in 2025.
Just recently, he launched his Matteo G Primetime talk show on BNC. However, after a few episodes, netizens noticed that his recent episode was posted on his personal YouTube channel and was not shown on BNC.
It was alleged that the issue started with his appearance on TV5 to promote the 13-episode documentary series Patriots, produced by News5 and Cignal TV, in which he is the host.
Allegedly, this did not sit well with the management of BNC. As of this writing, Matteo Guidicellie has not yet released a statement about this.
Amid the issue, negative comments about him circulated on social media. One of these was an accusation that he displayed a negative attitude on the set of Unang Hirit.
“Sakit ng ulo yan sa Unang Hirit,” a netizen commented, which was shared on a popular showbiz site. Susan Enriquez contradicted this. “Not true,” the veteran broadcaster answered.
In the comment section, netizens also expressed negative reactions to the husband of Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo.
