Class Suspension Declared In These Areas on Wednesday (August 28)

WALANG PASOK – Several local government units have declared class suspension over some parts of the country due to the bad weather.

Over the past few days, Tropical Storm Jenny continues to bring an inclement weather condition in the country. Jenny lashes the Philippines with heavy rains and strong winds although it has already weakened into a tropical depression after making a landfall in Casiguran, Aurora.

The combined effects of Tropical Storm Jenny and the southwest monsoon have prompted different schools to declare the cancellation of classes. Jenny has maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 80 kph.

On Wednesday (August 28, 2019), the classes in several areas have been suspended by some local government units due to the inclement weather condition brought by the tropical cyclone.

The suspension of classes has been done to ensure the safety of the students from any possible risk brought by the storm.
