Gadon Questions VP Sara Duterte’s Understanding of Intelligence Operations
SARA DUTERTE – Disbarred lawyer Larry Gadon did not hold back as he launched a fiery tirade against Vice President Sara Duterte in a newly released video statement.
Disbarred lawyer and Presidential Adviser for Poverty Alleviation Larry Gadon launched a scathing attack against Vice President Sara Duterte, accusing her of lacking intelligence following her remarks about the recent shooting incident in Tacloban.
In a Facebook post uploaded on Friday, July 3, Gadon released a video statement criticizing the Vice President’s comments regarding the tragic shooting involving children. According to him, Duterte’s assessment of the incident reflected a misunderstanding of how intelligence operations work.

He continued by questioning the Vice President’s use of the term “intelligence,” explaining his own interpretation of its purpose.
“Ano? Intelligence? Ang intelligence,” said Gadon, “ginagamit ‘yan do’n sa mga enemies of the state. Do’n sa mga rebelde. Hindi doon sa mga bata.”
Gadon further argued that intelligence operations are intended to monitor threats against the state rather than individual civilians. He stressed that it would be impossible for authorities to keep track of every citizen’s actions.
“Alangan namang lahat ng mamamayan babantayan mo isa-isa kung anong gagawin? ‘Di mo ba naisip ‘yon? Napakatanga mo. Boba ka! […] Intelligence-intelligence. That’s what you lack in intelligence,” he added.

According to Gadon, intelligence funds are specifically allocated to gather information on individuals or groups considered “enemies of the state,” and not for monitoring ordinary citizens or preventing isolated crimes involving minors.
This is not the first time Gadon has publicly criticized Vice President Duterte. In a previous video statement released in December 2025, he also referred to her as “boba” and called on her to resign from office. At the time, he claimed that the Vice President no longer had the moral authority to continue serving in her position.
The exchange adds to the growing political tensions between Gadon and Duterte, with the latest remarks drawing renewed public attention to their ongoing war of words and differing views on governance and public security.
