Dinky Doo Jr. victimized by a death hoax
Comedian Dinky Doo was a victim of a death hoax when “news” that he “passed away” circulated on social media.
This is not the first that celebrities have been rumored to be dead and the recent victim of this kind of hoax was the comedian.
Based on the article published on the site of Philippine Entertainment Portal, during the Holy Week, a popular character actor posted on social media expressing sympathy for the “death” of Dinky.
However, the character actor deleted his post after finding out that it was not actually Dinky Doo Jr. who passed away.
It was a case of mistaken identity because the one who passed away was the comedian’s step brother, based on the report.
There were also several netizens who commented on the post of the character actor for they were shocked. When they found out that was just a death hoax, they felt relieved.
According to the article, Dinky was not just the victim of a death hoax. The Wikipedia information of former actor Chuck Perez stated that he dies last 2000 due to a motorcycle accident.
This is fake because is still very much alive until now. He had a reunion with his “kabalen” Edgar Mande in San Francisco, California last April 15, 2019.
Dinky Doo Jr. is a self-confessed former drug dependent. After leaving those dark days of his life, he found himself advocating awareness against illegal substances.
In 2017, the he directed the film titled Durugin Ang Droga.
He came to a realization that he must do something to save other people from being hooked to this vice.
“I realized that I have a chance to give back, especially to young people hooked on drugs,” he said during the time he was promoting the movie.
