The daughter of actress Sheryl Cruz, Ashley Nicole Bustos, aspires to become a celebrity despite graduating from college with a summa cum laude distinction.
Ashley Nicole Bustos graduated summa cum laude from San Francisco State University in San Francisco, California, USA. She finished the course Psychology minor in Race and Resistance Studies.
However, despite this achievement, her calling was different. It turns out Ashley is a natural-born artist, so she ended up choosing a career in showbiz. For her mother, actress Sheryl Cruz, she is letting her daughter decide what she wants to do in her life. She would even let her 24-year-old child focus on showbiz if that is what she really wants to do.
She says there are already many people guiding her, so she doesn’t interfere anymore.
“Tuwang-tuwa ako na si Ateng, si Rams David, took her under his wings,” Sheryl said, and added, “So, kung ano man yung kanilang mga gagawin, of course ayokong pangunahan. I’m here to support my daughter, di ba?”
As a mother, she would guide her, and she doesn’t want to get ahead of her child or dictate her choices.
“I want her to experience it, di ba? Not only with the help of the manager, kundi with the help of the family. And she can always ask me for advice, and I will be there for her,” the actress expressed.
Sheryl added that she can see the Cruz and Sonora blood in her child, families well-known in the entertainment industry. Her father, Ricky Belmonte, comes from the Cruz showbiz clan, which includes her uncle Tirso Cruz III and her cousins Donna Cruz, Geneva Cruz, Sunshine Cruz, Rodjun Cruz, and Rayver Cruz.
