Heart Evangelista was asked if John Prats was her first love
Queen of Creative Collaborations Heart Evangelista revealed that her ex-boyfriend, actor-director John Prats was “brutal.”
Heart and John were among the hottest loveteams back in the 90s. Together they did several projects as onscreen partners. With their togetherness back then, they became a couple in real life.
Despite their past, Heart and John remained friends. Their fans even gushed over their recent photos together. Based on the article by Abante entertainment writer Jun Lalin, the Kapuso star even mentioned John during her recent Instagram Live.
In Heat’s recent guesting on the Kapuso afternoon talk show, Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, she was asked by the King of Talk if she considered John Prats as her first love.
“You can say that… yes,” she said, but stressed that she could no longer give this title to John because of what she recalled.
At that time, they were so playful and unserious, and she could not say that what they felt was really love.
“Pero looking back and when I saw him again, I realized that I think I dethroned him by giving him the title of first love kasi pinaiyak niya ako, ha! As in, pinaka-brutal na iyak. You know ‘Wuthering Heights’? Para kami ‘yung dalawang bata do’n,” the Queen of Creative Collaborations said.
Heart Evangelista explained, “Brutal kami sa isa’t isa. So iniisip ko, hindi naman ‘yon pagmamahal kasi parang brutal kami… kasi we grew up together. That was 6 years of my life. From 13 to 20 or 19, kami ‘yung love team, eh.”
For her, it was confusing back then, whether what they felt was just for work, or if they were in love. “So maybe that’s why I was confused for the longest time. But maybe tanungin natin siya!” the actress added.
