Ogie Diaz Interviews Marjorie Barretto after Dennis Padilla’s Claims
Marjorie Barretto claimed that Dennis Padilla was not a good husband to her and she should have left him earlier than she did.
The issue involving Dennis Padilla and the Barrettos have come a long way and it has sadly tainted the image of a beautiful and supposedly intimate wedding of Claudia Barretto. The event hooked attention after Dennis Padilla claimed that he was allegedly treated as a “visitor” at the wedding of Claudia.
Dennis had a series of posts on social media expressing his frustration over the alleged treatment to him at the wedding. Claudia Barretto, 25, married her long-time boyfriend, Basti Lorenzo, at a very intimate church wedding at St. James The Great church in Muntinlupa.
The actor-comedian also claimed that he was not able to walk his daughter down the aisle and sit in front where the parents’ seats are. According to him, he can feel that Claudia did not like what happened and wants to give him roles at the wedding.
The interview of Dennis Padilla earned the Barrettos a lot of criticisms. Recently, Marjorie Barretto broke her silence through an interview with Ogie Diaz. She stressed that as a mother, she can no longer remain silent while her children are being bashed for what their father did.
During the interview, Marjorie Barretto claimed that it was actually her who convinced Claudia Barretto to invite Dennis Padilla at the wedding. Her claim is contrary to the alleged insinuation of the actor-comedian that their daughter had no say at the wedding.
Marjorie and Dennis got married in 1995. Aside from Claudia who is their middle child, they have two (2) more children — Julia, the eldest, and Leon, the youngest. In the part 2 of the interview with the former actress, she reacted as to how other separated couples can actually deal with each other well for their children.
“Maangas ka Dennis Padilla. Hindi ka mabuti sakin. Ni hindi mo kayang mag-pretend para sa mga bata. Papanu ka naman isasama pag birthday ng mga anak natin. Tension ang dala mo eh. Bakit ang daming magkahiwalay, Ogie, pwedeng magsama? Pwede, bakit ikaw hindi?”
Marjorie Barretto also asked why Dennis Padilla is allegedly very mad at her. During the interview, she claimed that she could have left early in their marriage but she stayed for 14 years.
“Bakit ang galit mo sakin sobra-sobra? Naging mabuti ka bang asawa sa akin? Parang ang bait-bait mo sa akin ta’s iniwan kita, eh. I should have left you so much earlier. You know, salbahe ka sa akin, eh. Dapat lang na umalis ako sa relasyon na ‘yan bago mo ako mapatay.”
According to the former actress, she removed his power over her when she left him 18 years ago. She claimed that she suffered so much but she does not hate him anymore.
Previously, the attention of the online community was caught when Dennis Padilla left a comment on the post of Julia Barretto following Claudia’s wedding.
