RENDON LABADOR – The internet personality commends MTRCB for acting quickly following Wally Bayola’s cursing on E.A.T.

On August 10, 2023 (Thursday), during the ‘Sugod Bahay Mga Kapatid’ part of an E.A.T. episode that aired live on TV5. One of the show’s hosts, Wally Bayola, allegedly used foul language during the broadcast.

Studio hosts Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon were shocked by the explicit words and promptly attempted to reprimand Wally for his inappropriate act.

Rendon Labador and the online community called out the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) to take immediate action regarding the incident.

On Friday (August 11, 2023), MTRCB chairperson Lala Sotto has taken decisive action in response to the incident. Sotto issued a ‘Notice to Appear and Testify’ against the television show’s production group regarding Bayola’s “utterance of profane words”.

The agency set the hearing date on August 14, 2023 at MTRCB’s office in Timog Avenue, Quezon City.

Bayola has issued a public apology regarding the expletives and admitted his mistakes. His action reflects his willingness to be held accountable for his words and actions.

Recently, the so-called motivational speaker lauded MTRCB chairperson Lala Sotto for taking a quick action and protecting the welfare of young viewers.

“Good job MTRCB!!! Pag patuloy natin ang pag protekta sa mga batang manunuod! Maraming salamat MTRCB Chair Lala Sotto!” Labador said.

The social media personality stated his willingness to denounce misbehavior and applaud commendable actions.
