PAGASA Says ITCZ & Easterlies to Brings Rains Over Parts of the Country
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that intertropical convergence zone and easterlies will bring rains over some parts of the country.
On Saturday (July 8, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The intertropical convergence zone and easterlies will affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that Intertropical Convergence Zone will be affecting Mindanao. The easterlies will be affecting the eastern sections of Southern Luzon and Visayas.
The ITCZ/Easterlies will bring cloudy weather update with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Eastern Samar and Southern Leyte.
The ITCZ/Easterlies/Localized Thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over the rest of Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience similar weather condition.
The weather agency advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods and landslides due to scattered moderate to at times heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over rest of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
