PAGASA Says Easterlies & Localized Thunderstorms to Bring Rains Over Parts of PH

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that easterlies and localized thunderstorms will bring rains over some parts of the country.

On Wednesday (July 5, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The easterlies and localized thunderstorms will affect the country’s weather condition.

Pagasa weather specialist Obet Badrina said that no tropical cyclone formation in the Philippine area of responsibility.

“Wala tayong namo-monitor na low pressure area. Hanggang sa pagtatapos ng linggong ito ay maliit ang tiyansa na magkaroon tayo ng bagyo,” Badrina said.

PAGASA reported that easterlies will be affecting Visayas and eastern section of Mindanao. It will bring isolated rains over Visayas and the eastern section of Mindanao.

The Easterlies/Localized Thunderstorms will bring Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro. Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience similar weather condition.

The weather agency has warned the public for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition throughout the country will be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
