BEAU BELGA – Among the 10 players of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) who got suspended is Beau Belga.

In a previous article, Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) suspended Beau Belga after the player got involved in a “basketbrawl”. He is a Rain or Shine Elasto Painters player and has faced suspension over the incident that happened at Carmen Municipal Gym in Cebu.

A video of this incident went viral.

Belga got suspended.

And the other players who were with him who joined the “ligang labas” are also penalized.

In a report from ABS-CBN, 10 players, which included Belga received heavy penalties. Magnolia’s Jio Jalalon is said to pay the biggest fine at Php P100,000 for his second offense. He was also involved in the Cebu incident.

Belga and NLEX’s JR Quinahan are to pay Php 50,000 each and an additional of Php 20,000 for their involvement in the “basketbrawl”.

Other players such as Nambatac, Jhonard Clarito (ROS), Vic Manuel (SMB), Allyn Bulanadi (SMB), Alec Stockton (Converge), Barkley Ebona (Converge), and Arwind Santos (NorthPort) were also ordered to pay Php 50,000 each based on the report.

They were reminded that in their second offense, the penalties will be doubled and more stringent.

In the Cebu incident as seen in the viral video, Quiñahan exchanged punches with a foreign player while Belga was spotted throwing the ball in retaliation toward the same player before the intense situation eventually died down.

PBA immediately took action towards the incident regarding the violation of the players. They violated the rule that prohibits the players from joining unsanctioned game or “ligang labas” events unless allowed by their mother teams.
