Vice Ganda said he’s aware of the comments on TNT
Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda announced that Tawag ng Tanghalan, the singing competition on the Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime, will take a break.
The said singing competition has given opportunities for many Pinoys who wanted to have a space in the music industry in the Philippines. Because of this, more and more aspiring singers are joining the contest with the anticipation that they will also have the same chance at stardom.
Last Saturday, the Huling Tapatan, or the grand finals for the current season, took place. Yannie Paul Basical was hailed as the champion.
On social media, viewers of the Kapamilya noontime show expressed dismay, saying that the show was boring. For them, the singing competition has lost the excitement that it once had.
Vice Ganda, through his post on X, formerly Twitter, shared his thoughts on the comments that the show received.
“The initial performances were underwhelming. But when the Top 3 started their medley numbers pakingshit it was a moment of gold!!!! Ang exciting na di mo masabi kung sinong mananalo dahil lahat naappreciate ung husay at puso ng performance nila. #TnT #ItsShowtime,” the comedian-host wrote in his tweet.
Vice also said that he read the comments and he appreciates them. With this, they decided to put a halt to the competition for the next season to help the contestants prepare.
“I read ur comments during breaks and gets ko mga hanash nyo. Still thank you for always supporting Tawag ng Tanghalan. I appreciate the constructive criticisms. For now ipapahinga muna natin panandalian ang TnT para mas makapaghanda pa ang mga sasali,” he said.
For the Tawag ng Tanghalan Season 10, Yannie Basical of Region 3 was hailed as the grand champion, as he garnered the score of 97.4 percent, based on the article in Pilipino Star Ngayon. He is the first contestant on the autism spectrum in the history of the competition.
He performed a Smoky Mountain medley, which garnered a standing ovation from the judges and the studio audience. During the first, he also touched the heart of the judges with his performance of Wakas by SB19.
