Courtside reporter Apple David has apologized to people who were offended by her alleged relationship with 18-year-old Letran Knight Chad Gammad, following public discussions surrounding their age difference.
According to a report by Frontline Pilipinas on Tuesday, May 26, Apple acknowledged that she is aware of the risks involved in their relationship due to the gap in their ages. Despite the criticism, she expressed hope that people would allow them to navigate their situation peacefully.
“But it’s a risk we are both taking and I hope people can be kind enough to allow us to do that in peace,” said Apple. “Sa mga tao po na nakakaintindi, sa mga tao po na sumusuporta, maraming maraming salamat po sa inyo.”
She also addressed those who may have been hurt or offended by the situation.
“Sa mga na-offend, we’re sorry but we just ask for respect as this should be a happy time for us.”
At present, Apple and Chad have reportedly been in the dating stage for one month.
