When is the Miss Universe Philippines 2026 grand coronation night?
MISS UNIVERSE PHILIPPINES 2026 – The organization has announced a new date for the grand coronation night this year.
Recently, the Miss Universe Philippines organization announced that the grand coronation has been moved to May 2. The adjustment will allow “sufficient time for venue preparation.”
This decision was also made to ensure the “proper staging and production of the coronation night.” The coronation night venue is still at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, with gates opening at 6:00 PM.
“We appreciate your understanding for this necessary schedule adjustment. This adjustment allows sufficient time for venue preparation and ensures the proper staging and production of the coronation night,” the organization stated.
It assured that the “previously purchased tickets will be honored and seat arrangements remain the same.”
The coronation night schedule change is just one of several updates in this year’s competition. Recently, the organization also explained why Kath Caseñas, who was originally representing Batangas, was reassigned to represent Bohol in a preliminary gown competition video released on Easter Sunday.
MUPH also announced the removal of one of the official candidates. It was eventually revealed that it was Imelda Schweighart who was removed from the pageant. According to the statement, she was removed from the competition due to “certain behaviors” that continued despite already issued verbal and written notices.
Meanwhile, the MUPH 2026 introduced a new format that gives the public a bigger role in choosing winners. Supporters and fans can now vote during key parts of the competition, including the evening gown, swimsuit, and interview rounds, as well as during the coronation night through an official voting app.
The competition will feature over 50 candidates, and the pageant is structured as a “season” rather than a single-night event. Public votes may help candidates advance to the semifinals.
