Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda encountered a contestant on It’s Showtime’s Laro Laro Pick who had no idea what the Malacañang Palace looked like.
The said segment in the Kapamilya noontime show features random contestants, and a recent episode of this went viral, but for a negative reason. It was because of a contestant, who appeared to be from the Gen Z bracket, who was not able to identify the photo that was shown to her.
During the segment, Vice asked the contestant to identify the building shown in the picture. It can be seen that the contestant was not able to answer immediately. Her face also had that expression that she had no idea what the building was.
Then, Vice Ganda asked, “Hindi mo nakikita ‘yang larawan na ‘yan?” Still, the contestant was silent. After that, the comedian-host shared a clue. He said that it is where the Philippine President is staying.
The contestant answered, “Munisipyo?” After hearing that, Vice was obviously in disbelief, but he still continued giving clues. “Saan ginaganap ‘yong mga ano, mga papiging ng Pangulo, mga ganap niya, ‘yong presscon niya, saan sila nagmi-meeting?” Vice said.
With this, host Jhong Hilario also tried to help the contestant. He said, “Mala… Mala…” However, the contestant completed the word by saying, “Malabon.” This made the studio audience laugh, but not Vice. “Naku, natatawa ka pa ha, noong Martial Law, noong EDSA People Power nilusob ‘yan ng mga Pilipino, ‘di ba?” the comedian-host said, adding that the building can also be seen in a Philippine bill.
Then, the contestant said, “Malacañang.” After the contestant said that, Vice Ganda had a fiery comment. “Hayun, Malacañang, Rein. Okay? Malacañang ‘yan ha? Huwag puro blush on saka highlighter sa TikTok ha?” the Unkabogable Star said.
