ABS-CBN actress Anne Curtis is now back in the Philippines with Erwan Heussaff and Dahlia after reuniting in Oman.
Amid the escalating tensions in the Middle East due to the US-Iran war, ABS-CBN actress Anne Curtis found herself on a flight that turned back. She shared videos taken from her plane window, showing a fighter jet flying within view.
The actress was supposed to meet her family in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, after she traveled from Milan, Italy, for Fashion Week. She wrote, “Next thing I knew, they announced we would be turning around and making our way back to Milan due to the airstrikes.”
Based on an update from her mother, she was eventually and fortunately reunited with her family in Oman. In a Facebook post on Tuesday, the actress’ mom, Carmen, shared her relief that Anne and her family were safe, saying it was like a nightmare.
They safely returned to the Philippines on Thursday, March 5, 2026. Erwan shared a photo on his Instagram Stories showing their family on board the plane as they headed back to the Philippines.
His post has a caption that says, “Last few days felt like weeks. Back in Manila.”
Meanwhile, Anne recently found herself at the center of controversy after Quezon City 4th district Bong Suntay made remarks about her that were described as “sexual.” The actress quickly received an outpouring of support from fellow celebrities, women’s rights advocates, and netizens.
He apologized, but even in Suntay’s apology, he still stood by this belief and only apologized to people who took offense from the remarks he made.
Suntay expressed, “While may mga tao siguro that found the analogy in bad taste, doon sa mga na-offend, inuulit ko, walang malice doon sa pagnanais nating gawin doon sa statement na yun.”
