The name of Jonvic Remulla surfaced in a recent issue involving Daniel Fernando
Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Jonvic Remulla allegedly punched and choked Bulacan Governor Daniel Fernando following the road incident involving Vinni Marcos, the son of President Bongbong Marcos.
The supposed incident happened on February 21. A few days later, veteran columnist Mon Tulfo shared a post on Facebook claiming that Fernando was beaten up by a high-ranking official. It was alleged that it was because it did not sit well with him that his convoy was overtaken by a car.
When the driver of the car was reprimanded by Fernando’s bodyguards, it was said that they found out that it was PBBM’s youngest son. The Palace has denied this, but Remulla mentioned this, saying that there had been reports about Fernando’s misconduct.

When Mon Tulfo shared about this on his Facebook page, he did not mention the name of the high-ranking official who allegedly physically assaulted Gov. Daniel Fernando.
However, in the columnist’s post on February 28, he elaborated on the details of the alleged incident. Tulfo said that PBBM was truly kind because he forgave Fernando for what he and his bodyguards did to Vinni Marcos.
Tulfo also said that PBBM and First Lady Liza Marcos didn’t even want to reveal Fernando’s supposed “abuse” of their youngest child.
Then, the columnist narrated what allegedly happened. Tulfor said that when Vinni overtook Fernando’s convoy on the North Luzon Expressway on the night of Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026, he was chased and stopped.
It was said that Vinni was the one driving the Toyota Land Cruiser that overtook the convoy. Tulfo also shared that he was not with any bodyguards as he ran away from the members of the Presidential Security Group (PSG) assigned to him.

According to the columnist, several men got out carrying their guns after the convoy blocked Vinni’s car. The presidential son called his friend, and he was told to get the plate numbers of the vehicles that blocked him.
When the bodyguards took Vinni’s license and identified who he was, they were shocked. Vinni relayed the license plates to the Land Transportation Office, and it was learned that the convoy belonged to Fernando.
DILG Secretary Jonvic Remulla summoned Fernando to Camp Crame, as he has an office inside Camp Crame.
“Sinuntok ni Remulla si Fernando sa mukha. Bagsak! Sinuntok uli. Bagsak uli.
Pagbangon uli ni Fernando, sinakal siya ni Remulla. Lumabas ang dila ng gobernador sa sakal. Inawat si Remulla ng kanyang mga bodyguards na pulis,” Mon Tulfo shared.
