Buying weight-loss injections online can be risky and unsafe, especially without proper medical supervision. Some of the key dangers are unregulated or counterfeit injections, incorrect dosages, improper storage, online sellers operating illegally, and many others.
With these dangers and more, aesthetic doctor Vicki Belo cautioned the public against the weight loss peptides and injections that are a trend right now. These weight loss injections can be bought online, and Belo has warned the public about making this kind of purchase.
“Kahit may zoom consultation pa iyan. If it’s too good to be true and it’s cheap, it’s probably cheap and bad for your body,” said Belo. She pointed out that instead of being beneficial, these weight-loss peptides or injections sold online may actually cause more harm to the body.
She added, “Pwedeng totoo, pero ang daming dinagdagan. Kung ano anong nilalagay. They might put the right peptide, but they don’t make it clean.”
There’s also a possibility that the body may accumulate LPS, or lipopolysaccharides, which could harm it in the long run. One may lose weight, but there could be side effects, and you’ll feel sick later, or in about five to ten years.
Her advice is to get guidance from a doctor.
In recent years, a new generation of weight-loss drugs has proven remarkably effective. They became hugely popular and massively lucrative; however, they do have some drawbacks. For experts, this is a historic breakthrough because before, surgery was the main option for obesity when diet and exercise did not work.
