Michelle Dee started a legal battle against Xian Gaza
Beauty queen and Kapuyso actress Michelle Dee filed a complaint against social media personality Xian Gaza at the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
It can be recalled that the former driver of Kapuso actress Rhian Ramos accused her, Michelle, and Samantha Panlilio of torture and illegal detention. The camp of the three female celebrities denied the allegations.
It was found out that Michelle filed a qualified theft complaint against the driver for allegedly stealing her ang pao that contained valuable items.
Amid this issue, negative comments on Michelle Dee and her friends circulated online. Netizens recalled the blind item that Xian Gaza shared years ago about a “3some” and many netizens speculated that it was about Michelle, Rhian, and Sam.
In a social media post last January 29, Xian directly mentioned the three names. “Noon, ka-threesome ka lang ni Sam at Rhian. Ngayon, nambubugbog ka na ng driver? Grabe ka Michelle Dee,” he wrote in his Facebook post.
On February 16, based on the report from DZRH News, Michelle opted to bring this matter to court. Together with her lawyer, Atty. Maggie Garduque, Michelle filed a cyber libel case against Xian and those behind several Facebook pages that allegedly spread fake news about her.
The actress stressed that she has faith in the system, and hopes that the truth will come out, especially since the victims are real-life.
In her statement, Michelle stressed that disrespecting women should not be normalized. She also said that women’s rights and privacy should be respected.
Michelle also said that even though she is a public figure and being scrutinized in front of the public’s eyes, this case, on the other hand, needs accountability.
She admitted that what she called ‘defamation’ is painful and is already affecting her reputation.
