Barbie Forteza shared her moments on the set of her new movie
Kapuso Primetime Princess Barbie Forteza admitted that she felt intimidated working with veteran actress Charo Santos in the movie Until She Remembers.
Barbie’s acting career has been booming, and she continues to showcase her acting prowess through the various roles she is portraying.
Her most recent movie project is a big one, as she worked with Charo and another veteran actress, Boots Anson Roa-Rodrigo. Previously, the Kapuso star had nothing but praise for the seasoned stars, and she expressed how honored she was working with Charo and Boots.
In a recent interview, based on the article in ABS-CBN Entertainment, Barbie Forteza stressed that there was no truth to speculations that she was not intimidated sharing the same screen with Charo Santos.
“Wala pong katotohanan na hindi po ako na-i-intimidate. My gosh, Diyos ko po (laughs). Alam ko ang estado at value ng isang Charo Santos-Concio sa ating industriya,” she said.
Barbie also said that, as someone who really values her craft and seriously takes her projects, she would remind herself to stay calm, knowing that she is working with the one and only Charo Santos.
In the movie, Barbie, who is now 28 years old, played the character of a 16-year-old high school student named Angel. She shared the first time she met Charo, and it was during their story con, and the latter was the last to arrive.
“Parang tingin ko talaga sa kanya, ‘Hala si Mama Mary! Ganun (laughs). Andito na siya. Totoo na ‘to.’ So parang sabi ko talaga, ‘Okay Barbie, kalma. Actor ka dito. Huwag kang ma-starstruck, ganyan.’ Pero siyempre hindi ko napigilan na hindi magpa-picture. Dahil lagot ako sa nanay ko pag hindi ako nagpa-picture (laughs). Bilin na bilin!” the Kapuso star shared.
Working with Charo in the movie, as the grandmother of her character, Barbie said that she felt a connection between them. She described the veteran actress as someone who is generous, as she would share stories and her experiences, and for Barbie, this is already a big thing.
The Kapuso actress also enjoyed Charo’s companion and she had an easy time working with the veteran actress.
“Walang ka-ere ere! And very generous and reliable actor. I’m very honored dahil siya po ang aking lola. At ako ang kanyang apo (laughs),” Barbie Forteza said.
