She recently went viral once again after taking a humorous swipe at the impeachment complaints faced by the Philippines’ two highest officials—President Bongbong Marcos and his former UniTeam running mate, Vice President Sara Duterte.

Both of them are facing impeachment complaints, and based on the update, the House Committee on Justicewill vote on the sufficiency of substance for both impeachment complaints against the president on Wednesday, February 4.

Sara Duterte, Bongbong Marcos

In the recent episode of It’s Showtime, she took a swipe again in the form of a pageant intro, should she represent the Philippines, and her remark said:

“Ako po si Maria Christina Minalasmalas, ang babaeng walang kabuwenas-buwenas mula sa nag-iisang bansa na nakaranas na ang presidente at bise presidente ay ini-impeach parehas. Ang angas, Pilipinas!”

Meanwhile, the arguments in VP Sara’s impeachment complaint are:

  • Conspiracy to Assassinate President Marcos, First Lady, and Speaker Romualdez
  • Malversation of P612.5 Million in Confidential Funds
  • Bribery and Corruption in DepEd
  • Unexplained Wealth and Failure to Disclose Assets
  • Involvement in Extrajudicial Killings (Davao Death Squad)
  • Destabilization, Insurrection, and Public Disorder

On the other hand, in the impeachment complaint filed against President Marcos Jr., the arguments are:

  1. Respondent ordered and enabled the kidnapping and surrender of former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte to the International Criminal Court (ICC).
  2. Respondent is unfit to serve as President due to drug addiction.
  3. Respondent committed betrayal of public trust when he failed to veto unprogrammed appropriations (UA) and other unconstitutional provisions in the General Appropriations Bill (GAB).
  4. Respondent engaged in graft and corruption through kickbacks and ghost projects.
  5. Respondent created the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) to shield corrupt allies.
  6. Respondent violated the Constitution and betrayed public trust by surrendering former President Duterte to the ICC.
