Tuesday Vargas Breaks Silence on ‘Boba’ Accusation
TUESDAY VARGAS – Comedian Tuesday Vargas found herself at the center of online controversy after a social media page labeled her “boba” following her remarks about Gen Z.
Tuesday Vargas recently made headlines after clapping back at a social media page that labeled her “boba,” prompting a strong yet clarifying response from the comedian and television host.
The issue stemmed from a Facebook post made by Tuesday on Friday, January 16, where she addressed criticism directed at her following remarks she previously shared about Gen Z. A page named Millenial Pilipino appeared to take issue with her views and posted a caption that read, “Once a comedian, always a comedian! #bobbba,” a remark that quickly gained attention online.

Unwilling to stay silent, Tuesday directly responded to the post and defended her statement. She wrote, “Maka tawag kayo ng boba eh wagas. Panoorin nyo nang buo ang guesting.” Her reply suggested that her words had been taken out of context and urged critics to watch her appearance in full before passing judgment.
She went on to explain the intent behind her earlier comments, emphasizing understanding rather than division. “Ang sinabi ko ay unawain nyo ang nga kabataan na galing sa ibang henerasyon,” she continued. “Mga anak natin yan at tayo din ang may sala bakit di sila emotionally mature or they feel things deeply.” According to Tuesday, her message was rooted in empathy, especially toward younger generations who are often misunderstood.
The TV host further clarified that she had no intention of creating conflict between age groups. “Pagmumukain n’yo na naman akong kalaban eh ang ganda ng gusto kong mangyari, ang magkaunawaan ang lahat ng mga gen z at iba pang nakatatanda.” She stressed that her goal was unity and mutual understanding, not hostility.
As of this writing, Tuesday’s post has already garnered more than 12,000 reactions and 535 shares, reflecting the strong resonance the topic has with netizens.

Discussions about which generation is “better” have long been a recurring debate on social media, often leading to comparisons and heated exchanges. This ongoing clash is commonly referred to as the generational gap, a phenomenon that highlights differences in beliefs, values, attitudes, and behaviors shaped by age. These differences, when misunderstood, can easily result in conflict, underscoring the very point Tuesday sought to address.
