The Hong Kong trip of former “Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Edition Collab” housemates Mika Salamanca and Will Ashley has created a loud buzz online. Due to the rampant use of AI for online posts, many doubted the authenticity of the post, and recently, amid the clamor, an official statement was released.
They were spotted in Hong Kong Disneyland, wearing face masks, caps, and hoodies. Despite their efforts to avoid being recognized, online people easily recognized them, and before they could even take down their post, many were quick to take a screenshot, and the images immediately went viral.
Amid the buzz, Salamanca’s management released a statement to clarify the speculations. It confirmed that they were really together in Hong Kong; however, it was not a part of the original plan.
The trip was not exclusive to the two celebrities, as they came with friends.
The photos circulating online are real, and it was a trip Mika took to give herself a much-needed break and time to rest after a series of overwhelming events. Will joined her later on, along with other friends, with the full knowledge and support of her family.
However, some private photos and details were unfortunately taken from a private account and shared online, which ultimately led to misunderstandings and assumptions. Salamanca sincerely apologized to anyone who may have felt hurt, confused, or affected.
She then appealed for people to exclude her from romantic narratives or speculation, hoping the clarification would help put an end to misinformation.
