Message for Vice Pres. Sara Duterte for Filipinos on Feast of Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Mary
SARA DUTERTE – The Vice president released a video message for the Filipinos on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Mary.
Today is one of those that compose the long list of long weekends in the Philippines this 2025. December 8 is usually a special non-working day in the Philippines — classes in schools in all levels are suspended. Work in government offices are also cancelled.

With regards to the companies and establishments in the private sector which usually operate on a special non-working day, the employees who report to work receive a holiday pay. Today, countless Catholic people celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Mary Mother of Jesus.
Today, the Catholics remember the humble and obedient “yes” of Mary to the will of God. Then, She was not aware of the huge challenge that is laid on her role as the Mother of the Savior of mankind from sins.

Most often, the officials in the government release their messages for the Filipinos on the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Mary. Recently, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte posted a video message for the people.
Vice Pres. Sara Duterte started her video message with greetings and an invitation to reflect on the spirit of resilience as inspired by the life of Mary. In her message to the Filipinos, the Vice President said that the Blessed Mother’s “strength and humility guide us to uphold values that unite our nation”.

In her message to the Filipinos on the Feast of the Immaculate Concepcion of the Blessed Mary Mother of Jesus, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte expressed her hope that the celebration will motivate the Filipino people to support each other, plant hope, and work for the betterment of the nation despite the chaos in politics, the problems in the society, and the calamities that have hit the country.
“Sa gitna ng mga sakuna, gulo sa pulitika, at sigalot sa lipunan, nawa’y ang selebrasyong ito ay mag-udyok sa atin na magtanim ng pag-asa, magbigay ng suporta sa isa’t isa, at magtrabaho tungo sa pag-unlad,” the Vice President said.
Vice Pres. Sara Duterte hopes for a meaningful feast of the Immaculate Conception for the people. She called on the people to remain steadfast in our beliefs and align our actions for the common good.
“Let us remain steadfast in our beliefs, align our actions for the common good, and together build a stronger, more compassionate Philippines,” Duterte said in her message.
Pres. Bongbong Marcos also released a message for the Filipinos on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception.
