Statement of Malacañang on Vice Pres. Sara Duterte Calling Pres. Marcos To Undergo Drug Test
Malacañang reacted to the call of Vice President Sara Duterte for Pres. Bongbong Marcos to undergo a hair follicle drug test.
Some senators joined the rally organized by the Iglesia ni Cristo members. One of them was presidential sister and Senator Imee Marcos who spoke before the INC members about her brother, Pres. Bongbong Marcos.

Sen. Imee Marcos surprisingly accused PBBM of allegedly illegal drug use. According to her, their family is allegedly aware about the supposed problem with regards to her brother. She claimed that he was still not her responsibility then as their patriarch, the late former Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Sr., was still around.
The accusations of the presidential sister against the President earned different reactions from the people including their fellow government officials. Senate President Pro Tempore Ping Lacson felt pity towards Marcos Jr. saying there are other forums for such remarks.

Davao Congressman Paolo Duterte immediately reiterated his call for Pres. Bongbong Marcos and the government officials to undergo a hair follicle drug test. According to Duterte, the President should prove if he is really clean.
Recently, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte also called for Pres. Bongbong Marcos to disprove the allegations of his sister, Sen. Imee Marcos, by submitting himself to a hair follicle drug test. According to her, government officials are allegedly required to undergo a drug test once there is a request.

Malacañang which previously claimed that the drug use allegations against Pres. Bongbong Marcos is long dead citing a 2021 drug test wherein the now-President tested negative reacted to Vice Pres. Sara Duterte’s call. Based on a report on GMA News, Palace press officer undersecretary Claire Castro stressed the alleged response of former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte’s spokesman on the same call then.
“Nakalimutan ba niya ang sagot ng spokesperson noon na hindi pwedeng utusan ang Pangulo magpa-drug test?” the Malacañang press official said.
Based on the report, Atty. Claire Castro also claimed that former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte admitted to drug use during his tenure. According to the Malacañang press official, Pres. Bongbong Marcos continues to work.

“Ang Pangulong Marcos, Jr. ay patuloy na nagtatrabaho at tumutugis sa mga corrupt at hindi tulad ng iba na nakitaan ng senyales ng pagwawala, pagmumura, pagbabanta sa buhay, at mga uncontrollable anger issues. Iyan ang nag-aasal lutang na parang nasa impluwensya ng pinagbabawal na gamot,” the Castro said.
Previously, Malacañang spoke about the side of Marcos Jr. on the illegal drug use accusations of his sister, Sen. Imee Marcos.
