Palace dismissed the new accusation made by Zaldy Co
Former congressman Zaldy Co claimed that President Bongbong Marcos and Congressman Martin Romualdez received P56 billion kickbacks.
Previously, Co accused the President and the former House Speaker of being the masterminds behind P100-billion insertions in the 2025 national budget.
After several months of not coming back to the Philippines when he went abroad for his medical check-up, Co released a statement video with his explosive revelation, pointing fingers at Marcos and Romualdez.

The Malacanang Palace immediately debunked the allegations against the President. Undersecretary of the Presidential Communications Office Claire Castro said that as early as possible, the Marcos administration will give the truth to the public because many people might believe Zaldy Co’s claims. Romualdez also released a statement answering Co’s claims.
In Co’s third video message, based on the report from Inquirer, he accused PBBM and Romualdez of receiving kickbacks worth P56 billion.
The Palace debunked the accusation. “That’s the problem with Zaldy Co’s patched-together lies. He can’t present any evidence—he’s just reading from a script,” Castro said, adding the Co’s expose that his allies are expecting became a comedy series.

In his video statement, Co also claimed that Romualdez threatened to kill him. “The administration is using the full resources of the country to silence me and destroy my credibility,” the former congressman said.
Co added that he still has many things to expose, and that one of these was about former Department of Public Works and Highways engineer Henry Alcantara, and his “so-called DPWH Boys,” who claimed before the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI)that the amount involved is only P21 billion.
“That is not true. The real figure is P56 billion. And that entire amount went to President Bongbong Marcos and Martin Romualdez,” Zaldy Co claimed.
