She is best known for doing heavy drama through Hinugot sa Langit, Inagaw Mo ang Lahat sa Akin, and many others. But she can also pull off comedy as she also did projects like John en Marsha, Taray ni Maricel, and Super Inday.
She won multiple FAMAS, Gawad Urian, and Star Awards recognitions, making her one of the most decorated actresses in the country. Her latest project is Meet, Greet & Bye with Belle Mariano, Piolo Pascual, Joshua Garcia, and Juan Karlos.
As one of the pillars of the entertainment industry, she was asked to comment about the stars of today. According to her, there are some stars of today who don’t pay respect to the veteran ones.
“Pero parang most of them kasi hindi marunong magbigay-pugay. Hindi marunong mag-hello. Alalahanin nila, kung wala kami, wala sila. Dahil doon daw yun, e,” she expressed.
She then reminded them to always look ahead and set their path as an example. She and the other stars like Nora Aunor and Vilma Santos have all gone a long way ahead during their time, and it would be good for the newbies if they remain respectful.
One of the living examples for this, for her, is Piolo Pascual. As per her words, Papa P is really professional and there was never a time she saw him grumpy or throwing a fit during their shooting.
“Napaka-professional ni Papa P. Wala kang kaproble-problema. Laging naka-smile. Kahit pagod na kami, naka-smile pa rin siya. Hindi mo siya makitaan na naiinis, walang ganun,” she shared.
