Former Eat Bulaga Host Anjo Yllana Speaks on Political Plans
ANJO YLLANA – The actor and former Eat Bulaga host admitted that he’s thinking about running for senator as his followers allegedly want him to.
Recently, Anjo sparked several headlines for his challenges to President Bongbong Marcos and Senate Pres. Tito Sotto. He challenged Sotto to prove that he is really donating his salary as a senator to the scholars or else he will expose his alleged “mistress”.

According to Anjo who is a former co-host of Sotto in the GMA-7 noontime variety show Eat Bulaga, the Senate President and his alleged other woman supposedly met in 2013. The lawmaker is married to veteran actress Helen Gamboa with whom he has four (4) children.
Aside from challenging Senate Pres. Tito Sotto, Anjo Yllana also criticized Pres. Bongbong Marcos. According to him, the public is allegedly aware about the deformed facial expression of the President. He challenged him to undergo a hair follicle drug test.

Pres. Bongbong Marcos was mum on the call of Anjo Yllana for him to undergo a hair follicle drug test. Malacañang defended Marcos Jr. asking who is Anjo to demand on the President. According to Palace press officer undersecretary Claire Castro, Marcos Jr. will allegedly not pay attention to Anjo.

Recently, based on an article on Pep, Anjo Yllana spoke about his possible moves in politics. According to the actor, he is thinking about running for senator. He claimed that his followers allegedly want him to run for a seat in the Senate.
“Yung followers ko, pinapatakbo akong senador para meron daw silang boses sa senado. Mga mahihirap na tao ito,” he said.

Based on the article, Anjo Yllana currently has 94.5k followers on social media. According to him, he even has followers who want him to run for vice president or president. He claimed that he does not take the calls for him to run for the presidency or vice presidency seriously.
“Yung iba nga, vice-president, yung iba president. Pero hindi ko naman sineseryoso yun. Pero yung pagka-senador, pinag-iisipan ko dahil ngayon, maraming magnanakaw ang nakaupo,” the actor said.
According to Anjo Yllana, if he wins senator, there is allegedly one less corrupt government official. He also claimed that honest officials will supposedly increase if he wins the senatorial race.
“Kapag nanalo akong senador, mababawasan ng isang magnanakaw. Madadagdagan ngayon ng isang honest na senador kung sakaling manalo ako,” he said.
Recently, following his challenge to the Senate President, Anjo Yllana claimed that his statement against Senate Pres. Tito Sotto is allegedly just a “bluff”.
