Anjo Yllana Sets the Record Straight on Rumored Unpaid Debt to Willie Revillame
ANJO YLLANA – Actor-comedian Anjo Yllana has broken his silence on reports claiming he owes money to Willie Revillame, clarifying the real story behind the alleged debt.
Anjo Yllana has spoken up to address the recent claim made by veteran entertainment reporter Cristy Fermin, who alleged that he still owes money to television host Willie Revillame. Cristy made the revelation during her radio program on Monday, November 3, 2025, stating that Anjo allegedly has an unpaid debt to Willie.
This came after Cristy defended Senate President Tito Sotto from Anjo’s earlier accusations that the senator and Eat Bulaga! host was allegedly involved with another woman.
In an exclusive interview with PEP Cabinet Files on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, Anjo did not deny that Willie once extended help to him. However, he clarified that the television host never asked to be repaid.
“Tinulungan ako ni Willie, pero ayaw niyang magpabayad,” Anjo said. “Alam mo naman sa showbiz, minsan up and down. Sa Eat Bulaga!, minsan may suweldo, minsan wala. Minsan walong buwan walang suweldo.”
Anjo was a co-host of Eat Bulaga! for over two decades, from 1998 to 2020, making him one of the show’s longest-serving cast members.
The actor continued, “Si Willie, matagal ang pinagsamahan namin niyan. Very close kami ni Willie. Nag-reach out ako sa kanya, e, mabait naman si Willie. Kapag kilala mo talaga siya, galante yan. Pero kapag hindi mo siya kilala, suplado yan.”
He went on to explain that Willie had no issue helping him when he was going through tough times. “Tinulungan ako ni Willie. Ayaw niya akong pagbayarin. Sabi ko, ‘Hindi! Tinulungan mo ako. Babayaran ko ito kapag umangat ako.’ Sabi ni Willie, ‘Ganito na lang. Pay when able. Bahala ka na kung kailan mo gusto. Kung mayaman na mayaman ka na, sige.’ E, ano tayo ngayon, disabled pa rin, e!” Anjo said with a laugh.
Anjo also highlighted Willie Revillame’s generosity and kindness, revealing that many in the entertainment industry have received help from him. Among them was the late Eat Bulaga! Director Bert de Leon, who passed away in November 2021. According to Anjo, Willie assisted in paying Bert’s hospital bills and even helped with the expenses for his condominium unit.
“Yes, maraming tinulungan si Willie,” Anjo continued. “Si Tito Dolphy, sa hospital bills noon. Saka si Cristy, tinulungan ni Willie. Maraming tinutulungan si Willie. Mabait yan. Yan ang katotohanan.”
Through his statement, Anjo Yllana clarified that while Willie Revillame had indeed extended financial help to him, there was no ill intent or unresolved conflict between them—only lasting gratitude for a longtime friend’s generosity.
