Emman Atienza dies at 19
Social media personality Emman Atienza, the daughter of Kapuso host Kuya Kim Atienza, passed away.
Emman became a trending topic on social media for various reasons. There was a time when she was bashed because of her videos that did not sit well with the online community, such as her “Guess the bill” video with her friends.
However, at times, Emman would also garner amused comments with her videos, trying to tell a story in Tagalog. She is known for being an English speaker because this was the language she grew up to. She also loves to share videos on her TikTok account showcasing her thriftig ability, sharing with her followers that they could be fashionable without spending too much.
On October 24, Emman Atienza became a trending topic once again on X, formerly Twitter, and the reason behind this shocked many netizens.
Reports from different media outlets stated that Kuya Kim’s daughter passed away on Friday. In a joint statement released by the Kapuso host with his wife, Felicia Hung, they sadly announced the death of their youngest daughter. Emman was 19 years old.
On Felicia’s Instagram page, the Atienza family made the heartbreaking announcement. “It’s with deep sadness that we share the unexpected passing of our daughter and sister, Emman,” the family stated.
The statement also said that Emman had brought so much joy, laughter, and love into our lives and into the lives of everyone who knew her, and she has her way of making people feel seen and heard. The family also highlighted that Emman wasn’t afraid to share her own journey with mental health, and that her authenticity helped so many feel less alone.
“To honor Emman’s memory, we hope you carry forward the qualities she lived by: compassion, courage, and a little extra kindness in your everyday life. With love, Kim, Feli, Jose, and Eliana,” the Atienza family stated.
