Amid Corruption Issue in PH, Sen. Ping Lacson’s Net Worth Released
PING LACSON’S NET WORTH – The Senator spoke about the massive growth in his wealth from 2022 to 2025 based on his Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth (SALN).
Recently, the Office of the Ombudsman made a significant change on the previously-existing restrictions on the public access to the SALN of the public officials. Newly-appointed Ombudsman Boying Remulla reopened the SALN of government officials to the public after he issued a memorandum that reversed the circular order under former Ombudsman Samuel Martires.

Martires retired in July. It was only this month when President Bongbong Marcos appointed Remulla, a former secretary of the Department of Justice, to be the country’s chief graft-buster. His appointment came amid the supposed multi-billion flood control corruption in the country.
Ombudsman Boying Remulla vowed to speed up the legal process with regards to the flood control issue in the country. It was only in his first days as Ombudsman when he assured that his office will reopen the government officials’ SALN to the public.

Following the memo released by the Office of the Ombudsman which is the repository of the SALNs of the president, the vice president, the officials of the Constitutional Commissions, and the local government officials, several senators also expressed their willingness to disclose their SALN. Sen. Ping Lacson’s net worth was one of those that was recently revealed.

Based on a report on GMA News, Sen. Ping Lacson’s net worth is at P244,940,509.60 as of June 30,2025. It bears a huge jump from his net worth as of June 30,2022 which was at P58,771,409.62. It was his net worth when his previous term in the Senate ended.
“When I left the senate in 2022, along with 2 business partners, we engaged in some legitimate and successful real estate/trading business activities, hence the substantial spike in my net worth,” Lacson said.

According to Sen. Ping Lacson, he will provide further details about his SALN including his Incoming Tax Returns or ITRs for 2023 and 2024. Based on the report, the Senate President Pro Tempore filed an income tax of P4,817,265 in 2022 while he paid P11,834,033.37 income tax in 2025.
Previously, following the Ombudsman lifting the rules allowing public access on the SALN of government officials, the House of Representatives confirmed that they are willing to craft rules the disclosure of the SALN of the members of the lower house.
