Bong Go speaks about the recent allegation against him
Senator Bong Go denied the allegation that he is involved in the anomalous flood control projects.
The allegation came after contractors Curlee and Sarah Discaya refused to cooperate with the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI).
After that, Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Vince Dizon confirmed that an investigation is being done regarding the possible connection between the Discaya couple and CLTG Builders, which is owned by Go’s father.

Ombudsman Boying Remulla said in a statement that the Discayas might have been protecting Senator Bong Go.
In a livestream on his Facebook page on Thursday, October 16, Sen. Bong Go directly denied the allegation against him. He said that he welcomes the investigation and that he is not hiding anything.
“Wala po akong kinatatakutan dahil wala po akong kasalanan, hindi ako sangkot sa anomang anomalya,” the lawmaker said. He also stressed that he is here to serve and he would not destroy the trust given to him by the Filipino people.
Go emphasized that he does not know the Discayas personally. He even cited that during the Senate hearing, he asked the couple if they had a joint venture with the CLTG Builders, and the answer was “yes.”

The Senator also expressed willingness to be the complainant if ever his relative has done something wrong. “Gusto ko accountability. I’m urging the Discayas, lahat ng witnesses, please lang sabihin niyo ang totoo,” Sen. Bong Go said, adding that they should not let the truth be diverted.
The lawmaker said that he has been observing “delicadeza” his whole life. His name and reputation are important to him.
Amid this issue, Go said that the investigation is taking a step back. He asked if this is a form of “cover-up.” He wanted the people involved in this to be held accountable because he is one with the people who also wanted to know the truth. “Huwag niyo pong ipahid sa akin ang dumi para kayo ang pumuti,” the Senator said.
