Many people admire Mayor Vico Sotto for doing this for the people of his city.

After a series of earthquakes and other calamities that struck different provinces in the country, Mayor Vico Sotto of Pasig City provided his people with a “Go Bag,” and this was admired by many.

Victor Ma. Regis N. Sotto comes from a generation of Philippine media royalty. This is a pass for him to easily go down this path, but he decided to take the road less traveled. He entered politics, and he is now the well-loved mayor of Pasig, Mayor Vico Sotto, who is now on his third and last term as Pasig mayor.

He was the one who dismantled a dynasty in Pasig City, and since then, admired by many, eventually becoming the standard in public service.

Mayor Vico is loved for his empathy, visionary attitude, action-oriented, humility, authenticity, and transparency as a mayor. Recently, following the series of earthquakes that struck various provinces in the country with destructive and deadly magnitudes, he took the initiative to show his care for his people in Pasig.

His office distributed “Go Bags,” and in his post, being as transparent as ever, he revealed that for only PHP 992.00, he was able to give out quality emergency bags. This is to prepare his people in case natural calamities hit the country.

A go bag contains essential items such as food, water, medicine, a blanket, a battery-powered radio, a flashlight, a whistle, and other important things that are crucial during emergencies when services may not be immediately available.

This initiative has just given more people to love and admire him even more.

The Pasig City mayor was born to actors Vic Sotto and Coney Reyes, but did away with the public eye and kept a low profile. He finished a degree in Political Science from Ateneo de Manila University, and was able to apply his learnings with a teaching stint. He taught social science at Arellano University for a single semester.
