Lady Netizen Expresses Sadness Over Mother’s Low Salary After a Week of Work
A lady netizen expressed her disappointment after her mother’s payslip did not even reach P2,000 despite working six days straight.
Recently, V dela Cruz, a Facebook user, shared a photo of her mother’s payslip showing that her pay did not even reach P2,000 after a week of work. The post quickly went viral and gathered various reactions from the online community.
According to her post, her mother works tirelessly cleaning, sweeping, and mopping around the school where she is employed. She is often tasked with additional chores, even at midday, and sometimes gets scolded when she cannot return quickly.

Dela Cruz described how her mother works hard just to bring home a small amount of money to support the family. She said her mother’s situation is like many Filipinos who work long hours but still earn very little.
The lady netizen also recalled how her mother understood her when she joined rallies calling for wage increases and expressing frustration toward the government. Her mother never stopped her from voicing out her concerns because she knew the struggle of workers like herself.
The daughter expressed how painful life was for her mother but admired her for being one of the happiest people she had ever known. She said that her mother’s dedication motivates her to keep going and to never be lazy.

“Payslip ni Nanay. Hindi man lang umabot ng dalawang libo.
6 na araw na trabaho sa isang linggo. Walis dito, mop doon, punas dito, linis doon. Uutusan pa yan ng mga teacher miski tanghaling tapat. Pagagalitan pa kapag hindi nakabalik agad. Nagkakanda-kuba para may maiuwing barya sa aming pamilya. Hindi nalalayo ang kita ni Nanay sa maraming Pilipino.
Hindi nagagalit ang Nanay ko noon kapag sumasama ako sa mga rally. Naiintindihan niya ang panawagan tungkol sa umento sa sahod at kung bakit galit kami sa gobyerno.
Napaka pait ng buhay para sa’yo, Nay… pero bakit ikaw ‘yung pinaka masiyahing tao na nakilala ko.
